Writing is fun and Psych
Sep. 9th, 2007 04:47 pmWriting fanfiction is so much fun. Today, I posted my Charmed story, I finally sent off my Gorgeous Carat fic to my beta and I also finished the next three drabbles for my theme table - this time, it's Supernatural, dueSouth and The Sentinel. Hurray!
Yesterday, I went to the movies with the twins and we saw Bourne Ultimatum. What a ride! This film was so action packed that it surpassed even Casino Royale in my eyes. I will need to buy the other two movies on DVD now too. Because that's what I imagine when they say "action movie". Matt Damon rules as Jason Bourne. And what's best? There was no doodly lovie-dovie stuff! *nods*
Even though I love supernatural and fantasy books, from time to time I get fed up with them and need a change. That's why I bought Matthew Riley's Ice Station". They had it on sale for 4 bucks here so I thought, why not? Or maybe I will finally read Eric Van Lustbader's "The Testament"; my mum loved it and I loved Lustbader's book "Ninja", so...
And now to Psych...
I finally got around to watch the commentary to the international pilot (which is longer that the one they aired in the US) on the original DVD and there were some hilarious things said by the producers...
--> Steve Franks, the creator of the series is 6'8" and he and his band Friendly Indians also sang the theme song "I Know, You Know"
--> A lot of the humorous stuff that James Roday does, is his improvisation. It was he who came up with all the pineapple jokes.
--> Although the show is set in Santa Barbara, it's being filmed up in Vancouver and during the pilot, it was snowing there and only 1°C. They had to hose down the lawns to get rid of the snow.
--> There are "sneaky palms" on this show. These palms are actually not real and they transport them from set to set and set them up in the background in various shots. There are six of them.
--> Tim Osmudson is said to be the kindest and nicest man on set and he loves to play the crazy Lassiter with a gun fetish!
--> Dulé Hills and James Roday are great friends who get along as well as Shawn and Gus do. They consider themselves truly lucky to have such a relationship.
--> The Police Station in the pilot was set up in an asylum and most of the inside day shots that you see in the pilot was filmed during the night. The daylight is fake...
And then there are the Inside the Writer's Room and Sneak-In and Blooper bonus features that are so funny! This DVD is definitely worth buying!
