Hugging himself tight, Peter slides down the wall, bringing his knees to his chest.

"Sometimes…" His voice shakes with desperation. "Sometimes I think it would be better if I ended it all." He hangs his head, the dark bangs hiding his eyes.

Nathan drops to his knees, lightning fast, grips his brother's face in his hands and forcibly raises Peter's head. "Never say that again! Never!" His voice the crack of a whip. "You will not kill yourself!"

Peter opens his mouth, but Nathan closes his eyes, brings their foreheads together and whispers emphatically: "You will not leave me alone!"
