Smallville reminiscence
Jul. 24th, 2007 08:33 pmI've been listening to
fanfic_read_by's wonderful reproduction of
seperis' Smallville story "Somewhere I Have Never Traveled" and it made me remember how much I used to love SV and its fanfiction. You know, back then, in season 1-3... Such a long time ago...
And that's why I decided to rec you some of my all time favorite stories in said fandom! All of them are CLex:
rageprufrock's "Coflict of Interests" and its sequel "Visiting Hours" - both stories are told from the POV of Clark and Lex's son. And nope, it's not mpreg. The story is very long and pretty amazing. Conner is a sneaky little tyke who is searching for his mom and what a surprise it is for him when he finds out that actually, he has two dads. And one of them is the weirdo Clark Kent :D
sabershadowkat's "A Date With The President" and another story by the same author, "Family, Friendship and Love" (warning: mpreg). Both stories (they are not related) fall in the "feel!good" category. They will make you smile and feel all warm and fuzzy and simply good.
And in a somewhat darker tone "Ransom" by LaCasta. In this story, Clark gets kidnapped and after three years, Lex receives a ransom note. Dark but with a happy ending.
Yes, these are my all time favorite stories in the Smallville fandom. There were others that I liked but these I remember clearly even years after I read them so that should mean something, right?
I stopped watching around the time Jensen Ackles appeared in the series because no matter how much I love him, the show jumped the shark when they introduced magic there. Yeah.
