Spoilers and a fic rec
Jul. 18th, 2007 09:44 amAs you know, I'm trying to stay away from spoilers so I skip friends' entries that have a SPOILER warning in their content... But today, I spoiled myself for something really really huge because the entry didn't have a warning that there was a spoiler discussion going on in the comments. The thing is that if I have to stay away even from entries that don't have any warning at all in fear of being spoiled, my interaction with the fandom will cease completely.
So, please folks, I'm begging you here. If there are any spoilers at all, be it in your entry or in the comment section, warn us spoiler-phobes. We would really appreciate it :(
Supernatural fic rec!
GEN --> "A Beer" by Emma15. It's an AU story set in Stanford. John never disappeared, Dean never came for Sam and Jess never died. From time to time Dean comes to Stanford to check on Sam. During one of these visits he finds out that Sam is getting married soon. And at the same time, Sam finds out that Dean is in town, checking on him and suddenly, he is overwhelmed with homesickness and the need to see Dean, to have him there, with Sam and Jess. I stayed up until almost 2 AM to finish this story. It's amazing, so well written and well plotted. But I warn you that you'll need hankie. It's not a death story and it does have a kind of happy ending but it'll still make you cry because the boys hurt so much and they can't make the pain go away because both of them want something different from their lives.
