So, people are now leaving LJ and the fandom because of the Supernatural spoilers? I can understand de-friending comms - I filtered out supernatural_tv after all - but to leave the LJ completely? I mean, I'm really into SPN. Like really really into it. But no matter what happens to the show, it won't force me out of LJ. But maybe it's because I have an amazing flist! *snuggles friends*

"What Is And What Should Never Be (Missing Scene)" by leonidaslion is a gen missing scene from the What Is... ep and finally a fic that deals with Dean's blood loss! Huzzah. I liked it very very much *beams*

I'm not in the fandom, but that does seem a little extreme. Even Harry Potter fans haven't done that, as far as I know. And they've got a huge spoiler to be protected from in two weeks.

The person said that she can't take the fans' squabbling anymore and that the spoilers made her so depressed that she stopped even looking forward to the next season, that's why she was leaving LJ.

I really don't understand it - and I told her so too. It's not just the leaving part but the whole "the show is dead" attitude. I mean, how can anybody say that a show is dead without seeing at least one ep? Spoilers are one thing, the reality usually something completely different :(

Doctor Who fandom is going through that. A certain actress was cast for the next season, and a lot of people hated her when she guest starred in the last Christmas special. I've seen people saying they'll never watch the show again. I prefer to give the writers and the actress a chance. It's been a year. The character possibly has changed quite a bit.

I'm more into Torchwood than Dr Who but I know what you are talking about. But I heard that Martha is coming back mid-season. Err, I hope I didn't spoil you with it. I never know who is into spoilers and who isn't :D

I'm more into Torchwood, too. I do love Doctor Who, though. I actually liked the character of Donna. I'm looking forward to seeing her and Martha in the TARDIS.

I'm not afraid of spoilers for Torchwood or Doctor Who. Heroes is the only show I don't want spoiled.

That seems extreme. I'm hoping for a lot of Harry Potter spoilers. If Harry dies, I'm not buying the book.

I honestly don't understand that but I respect her wishes. It's just makes me so sad to lose friends over stuff like this :(

I didn't hear about folks leaving, but that's just stupid. We haven't even gotten the chance to see the spoilers in action yet.

It is rather extreme and I kind of don't get it but I was mostly sorry to see a friend go :(
