While browsing the spnstoryfinders' archive trying to find my RPS request that I forgot to bookmark, I came across this description of the Supernatural fandom:

castalie is really bad for me! Suddenly, she made me crave Poltergeist: The Legacy and especially Nick Boyle. That boy rocked my socks off and I loved how protective the female characters were of him, especially Rachel. And the wonderful relationship he had with Kat... yay! And now my fingers itch to click on the "add to cart" button on Amazon because they have the first season there for $ 36...

Oh, and people are still reading my AHBL2 codas... How do they find them? I posted them like a month ago! O.o

Lol I don't see why I'd be the only one to suffer from PTL want :-) And 36$, you say? Man, that's definitely better than the 78€ that I found here *wince* My fingers are ichingt too, believe you me!

78 €??? *dies* You know what I don't get? Why they simply take the price in USD and just change the dollars into Euro or pounds. I mean, it's like twice as much in these other currencies! You can have the first season for 43 $ because the shipping costs are only like 7 $ too. From the US! 43 $ for the whole first season and I pay almost the same amount of money for one original DVD here X(

I checked elsewhere and saw that the 78€ was actually an aberration. I found the box-set for 43€ - with no shipping cost - over at amazon.fr, which was already more like it.

Yeah, but I would have to pay for shipping costs anyway and 36 $ is 800 crowns whereas 43 € is 1200 crowns for me. Even with shipping costs its cheaper for me from the US than for the EU.

No, I know it's cheaper getting it from the US, I was just sharing the news, is all, since I thought the French was just crazy and didn't want me to get the box-set at all. I mean, 78€? That's insane, really. At least amazon is a bit saner *pets amazon*

*g* It sounds crazy but for me, to buy books etc. from the German Amazon - which is just across the border - is twice as expensive than buying it from the US! O.O How can the shipping costs from across the ocean be cheaper than from across the border? O.O The EU really is crazy!
