... instead of bickering! geminilove_ca started a campaign to support Supernatural. The goal is to raise $ 4 000 before the 3rd season starts and donate it in the name of the Supernatural fandom to Angel Food Ministries that sells food for low prices to poor families. If you are not comfortable with supporting a Christian organization, she offered to start another thread that would donate SPN DVDs to libraries and military bases. I think this is a very positive way to promote our show and I'm all for it even though I don't live in the US.

You know what surprises me? That some fans think that fandom in general shouldn't have a say in the direction their show is taking. They compare a TV series to fanfiction. Err, a TV show is done FOR fans. Without the fans, there wouldn't be a show. Happy fans equals more viewers equals more money. I think they forget that the creators of a show don't write it for themselves. They are getting money out of it too. So, they HAVE TO listen to what the fans have to say - or lose them.
