katikatSo, yesterday, I shoveled snow for over an hour. Over a foot of a heavy, water-drenched snow X( Then I worked for a couple of hours and after that I went to my Japanese class. I came back so tired that I hit the sack way before midnight.
Today, it feels like I pulled all the muscles in my back and my right arm, owwie! I translated 20 pages (some months ago, I was doing like 30 pages a day - see how lazy I have become?) but the script was so small that my eyes started to burn and water and I had to stop. And the book was a paperback too so it kept closing no matter what I did, darn it!
I was saddled with the whole Dragonlance series. It's not bad, really. The English is rather straightforward, no fancy words like for example Fiona McIntosh, or weird grammar structures like R. A. Salvatore. But since it's a RPG based series, there are set terms that one has to dig up on-line... So, it takes me approximately 10 minutes to translate one page and 10 minutes to find one stupid term on-line (like for example the Czech translation of the Revered Daughter Crysania)... X( That's why I hate to take over stuff that somebody else has already worked on in the past :(
