SPN: 2x14 Born Under a Bad Sign

katikatI just realized I never posted this episode's review. Shame on me :P
You know, I'm really impressed with how the writers and producers and directors tell such amazing stories with so few characters. I mean, this story is told and carried forward by two characters only and there are no crowds of guest stars every ep. It's fantastic how the characters must interact and TALK which is quite rare today when everything goes so fast.
I really loved Jared Padalecki in this episode. He shone and showed us that he is an amazing actor. It was awesome to see him slip from Good!Sam to Bad!Sam. The best scenes with him? The one with Jo in the bar and the exorcising. I loved the whole "My daddy shot your daddy in the head" sing-song. I think that Padalecki really grew up in this series because for the first time, he received a chance to show his real talent.
Though Jensen Ackles in his desperation was simply fantastic too. I loved the fact that Dean refused to shoot, no matter what. Even though everything spoke against Sam, he never stopped believing in him. Though the punch at the end was pretty funny just like the comment about Sam having a girl inside of him for a full week. "That's pretty naughty!" :))
I must say though, that I didn't like that so many people started bashing Sam after this episode, saying that he obviously didn't like Dean as much as their Dad since he didn't manage to break the hold the demon had on him. I won't go into details because that would make this post really too long. I will simply say I believe that Sam adores his older brother and if he could, he would have broken the hold the demon had on him. I don't think that he enjoyed the demon shooting Dean or bashing his head!
And there was another thing that was really well done - how brokenly Sam moved while possessed. The whole "speed-up" thingy was really cool. Oh, and I mustn't forget the black eyes. They were like so cool!
