The Christmas time is over
Dec. 26th, 2006 03:22 pmAnd yay to that, really. I just couldn't get into the whole Christmas mood this year. Maybe it's because I work from home and don't get out much but still... I'm just happy that it's over and done with and we can now go back to our regular program.
I've received only one present from my Mum, but one I really wanted - a stepper. I can finally do something for my health without leaving the house. One would think that working from home is oh-so-easy. It's not. You still have to work just as hard as in an office or who-knows-where. But now, when I take a break now and then, I can exercise a bit :)
Other than that, I've received a book from my lovely
yami_tai (I'm looking forward to read that one, luv!), one vol of the Fruits Basket manga from
matimate (thank you so much, girl) and a ton of books from myself (het vampires, gay vampires, gay werewolves... you know, the usual stuff :D). And I've already finished reading one book and I'm well into another one. Go me :D
And I managed to fall in love with Dark Angel again. Especially with the 2nd season and the hotness that's Jensen Ackles. I mean, wow! If I could now just find at least one ep of Days Of Our Lives with him as Eric Brady for download, I could die happy, really :D
Oh, and I've received this promo from Amazon, telling me that "people who bought Stealing Some Time by Mark Kendrick also bought Westward Pursuit by Cecilia Frances Page". Okay, I think I missed something because Kendrick's book is a gay sci-fi set in Wild West, Page's book on the other hand is about American pioneers... The only thing these two have in common is the Wild West, nothing else... -_-;;
Back to work tomorrow. My boss needs me to do one translation really quickly so I had to postpone the editing of McIntosh's books. Now it's R. A. Salvatore's Streams of Silver. It's more for RPG players than your regular readers, you know? Forgotten Realms and Drizzt Do'Urden and stuff like that. Not bad but too little character development/background/involvement for me to go all bonkers about it.
