Really, it's true. Male detectives in mystery books are an endangered species. Have you tried to find a sleuth book with a male hero lately? No? Then try. True, I've been looking for "supernatural" male detectives (like Harry Dresden or Ukiah Oregon) but still. All I can find is Anita Blake and her "copies". Vampires, werewolves, anything you want - but only in a female edition. Males are obviously overrated... Too bad that I LOVE male heroes more than females. I want my males back! *pouts*

You know I solved it I read the novels form Age of Sails. There is hardly any woman on the ship in those time. Many delicious males for your imagination...bad thing is that if they were caught in the act...they walked in the air with the special hoose around their necks. Pity:(

I'm not much into the sea and ships, really :( I gave a try to the Master and Commander books and almost fell asleep while reading it. It was so boring; pages after pages after pages full of description and description and more description and no action whatsover. Or dialogues for that matter. I would rather read the "secret agents" genre if I really needed a male-centric one. But I do like female characters. I just hate them as the main chara :(
