Movies: Independence Day: Resurgence

It didn't measure up to the original at all. All that chest beating American pathos was pathetic this time around and I didn't give one flying banana about the characters. The youngsters... we were TOLD that they were close but I didn't really feel it, the movie simply didn't show it properly. The special effects were amazing, but not even the battles felt suspenseful. I don't know how you can make a movie about an alien invasion boring but lo and behold, they managed it. Darn it. And I was so looking forward to this...
