Giddy about Shadowhunters

katikatShadowhunters won't even air until 2016 and I'm already giddy about the show. Tinalia over on Tumblr has been posting spoilers and analyses and it's just so awesome. I especially adore all the stuff that focuses on Alec Lightwood as played by Matthew Daddario, my main draw for the show, TBH.
Like, that his parents will try to force him into an arranged marriage to gain back the status they lost when they joined Valentine's little rebellion. Yes, Alec is gay but his mother really does not care or accept it, she doesn't care what he wants, and he can't come out because the Clave is rather homophobic. But he will fall in love with Magnus Bane, the High Warlock of Brooklyn, who will make it all worthwhile. So, in ep 8, his marriage will be announced and apparently in ep 12, the season finale, the wedding's taking place. I bet it will all end in tears, that Valentine will attack, use the fact that the Clave will gather for the wedding. And since the wedding is NOT in the books, we have no idea how it will end... Oh man, I'm so very, very giddy about the show! I mean, seriously, a CANON gay couple! We haven't had a gay canon couple this hot since Nasir/Agron! Is it 2016 yet?
