Folks, the Boys on Boys on Film site is infected with a VIRUS. When my computer got infected the first time, I thought it was a random internet attack. But today, I visited the site again and the virus tried to get into my computer again. I closed the site, deleted all the TIF and cookies and did a virus check. Be careful when you visit their site!

It's probably got an embedded Trojan. I once visited a Virus Buster Serge site and it, too, was embedded with a Trojan. Rather ironic, I thought.

I am sorry to hear that, I like that site. Was it bits of the Koran? A friend just told me there is a virus hitting the porn sites with bits of the Koran.

Thanks for the head's up

Hm, I'm not sure if it's a Trojan. When Trojan punched its way into my computer, I received the dreaded blue screen with a warning. This time there was nothing like that. And there wasn't only one file, but two in the TIF... Weird. And I have AVG and ZoneAlarm on my puter too. Nothing stopped it :(

I'm not sure if it was Koran. When I found out that it's still only in the TIF file, I deleted it quickly together with cookies and when I ran the virus check again, it didn't find anything :(

Virus programs detect Trojans but they don't heal them, they're not made to. But spyware programs like Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy do.

Trojans will show up as multiple files because they embed themselves in several places.

It could have been a Trojan that simply tries to change your homepage. Or it could have been a "dialer" program, if you've been to places that charge for downloading files. Those don't activate until you reboot, but since you cleaned out your cookies and temp files (you also need to check the Downloaded Programs folder in Windows as they are sometimes in there as well), you avoided that.
