Agent Carter S1
Feb. 25th, 2015 10:12 pmI know that everybody and their uncle is swooning about this show but I'm not. I don't deny that it was a much needed ode to feminism, but it felt like the writers forgot to make it interesting, too. The main story was slow and convoluted, there was too much space given to the bad guys - if I hear "focus" one more time, I'll punch someone in the nose! - and there was very little suspense and action - though the best action scenes were driven by Carter, that woman can punch like nobody's business!
I don't know, I just expected something... more, so overall, I was disappointed and a little bit bored. I would rate it 5/10. Marvel knows how to create excellent characters - Carter and Jarvis shined! - but they don't have a good grasp on the plot (for example, I don't like any of the Iron Man movies, though I adore Tony Stark himself). And considering the season finale hit series low in the ratings, I wasn't the only one who slowly lost interest over the course of the show. Too bad, so much squandered potential I feel like weeping!
