NCIS: LA 501-517

katikatYes, the last few days I gorged myself on NCIS:LA. I decided I really needed to start watching all the shows I've neglected since Teen Wolf S3B started airing - yes, still smitten with that! - and so, with the tried and true method of "ene, mene, muh" I chose NCIS:LA to catch up on first, especially since the season finale airs this Tuesday.
Bullet points:
* Nell is amazing. I didn't like her much when she was introduced, she was rather obnoxious with how she kept interrupting people. But now? AMAZING! She's now my favorite female character on the show! When she stabbed the murderer with her knife three frickin' times... yes, girl!
* Deeks is really funny! I loved him working with the DEA agent and with the Gurkha guy and with Nell... Though the writers could tone down the bickering between him and Callen/Sam. I mean, I know that the guys do it mostly to distract him from Kensi not being there, but sometimes it feels like they forget just how amazing Deeks is at his job, at undercover work, how he can literally become his alias.
* I like how they are developing Kensi and Deeks' romance. I'm very pro-Densi.
* I still love Hetty but sometimes... she's so shifty!
* Kensi's Afghan storyline is a cool way how to deal with Daniela Ruah's pregnancy. But what she did in 517, wow, that was so stupid!
* Why didn't anyone tell me Matthew Del Negro was in this show?
* Sam and G, I like their bickering but, honestly? It feels like it lost its spark with the introduction of Michele and now G's new love interest.
So, before, I watched for Sam and G - now I watch for Nell, Deeks and Densi. Interesting.
6 eps to go before I'm caught up for the season finale!
