And I was a bit... underwhelmed? It just felt way, way too complicated. Too much was going on, so the episode felt over-stuffed. Dave knew and betrayed them. Duke has his power back and is dying. Jennifer is dead. William is gone. Audrey is now Mara... it seemed a bit disjointed. I really loved the beginning of the season, when there were clean, straight storylines that didn't feel all tangled up. But now, there are other worlds? I don't know. I hope for some really good explanation, that the whole thing gets smoothed out again.
One thing that really disappointed me? Nathan's behavior. I understood why he did what he did at the end of S3, but during S4 he was behaving like an obsessive boyfriend. By the end of the season, I actually started to lean towards William a bit because, yeah, he was cruelly nudging Audrey in his own direction but at the same time, he just wanted her to be herself again and then let HER decide what she wanted, when she had all the information. And, honestly? The way he went about it aside, it's actually reasonable.
Also - so it was William, William was Audrey/Mara's One True Love. Because his sacrifice was the precursor of a catastrophe. Well, that will sting Nathan.
And still no news about a possible renewal. And that's bad. If they wanted to air the show this summer/fall, they would have to be working on it by now. So, I suspect that Syfy will either can the show or give it a six episode long pick-up only to allow them to wrap it up, the way they did it with Warehouse 13. I really hope for the latter because this can't be the end!
