katikatI think the writers really dropped the ball on this one. They have an excellent cast, great characters, amazing special effects... just the stories aren't that good. And it's too bad because the show's rating is dropping like a stone. The latest was 1.6 demo, that's cancel material on Fox :( So, I guess I will enjoy the show while it lasts, mostly because of the character potential. And hope for some great fanfictions. There are already 196 stories on AO3, after just 6 episodes because the potential really is that good.
I think my favorite part of the show is John and Dorian's banter. They bicker but it's really sweet, not... acerbic, simply sweet. And that's lovely. Because you see just how much John likes Dorian. He actually thinks of Dorian's feelings, lets himself be talked into things by him... And that's really lovely. I really hope that, before the show is canned, Dorian will start living with John, that would be some wonderful slash material for fanfic authors!
