Caught Up On: The Mentalist

katikatEpisode 609 was quite boring, the first Post-Red John ep, but I think that in the grand scheme of things, it was necessary, a much needed set-up for the series reboot.
But ep 610 was excellent. It was so great to see Jane playful, really playful and not burdened by the death of his wife and daughter. And both Lisbon and Cho were simply perfect, so amused by Jane's antics while everybody else was annoyed or irritated, these two were secretly LOL'ing.
Unpopular opinion regarding Van Pelt and Rigsby: I'm glad that Van Pelt and Rigsby are gone. The last few seasons they felt like such a dead weight. Lisbon was always interesting and Cho is a walking, talking perfection. But Van Pelt and Rigsby? Eh. Never liked those two much. So, yay for them being gone.
The new characters are pretty cool. Kim is a bit too Van Pelt for my liking, though. But Abbott is pretty cool and his mind games with Jane are amusing to watch because you never know who will win. But who is a real hoot is Wylie and I really hope he stays on the show. Gosh, when he didn't get the Wylie Coyote joke! That scene had me LOL'ing like a nut, especially with Cho's super serious "Are you kidding me?" face! LOL!
I'm all in for what's to come! The Mentalist's finally starting to feel fresh and exciting again! Cool!
