Movies on DVD 34/50: Transamerica

This movie made me a bit uncomfortable in places. Not because of the topic, but because of how ugly the characters were in certain moments. I mean, not that I didn't understand Bree and why she kept lying, or Toby and his behavior, considering his background, but the way Toby kept intentionally hurting Bree and humiliating her... he wasn't a child anymore, he was 17, and teen or not, that was ugly. I felt so sorry for her...

I'm glad I saw this movie but, to be perfectly honest, if Kevin Zegers weren't in it, I don't think I would've gotten it on DVD.
