Las Vegas

I ordered season 1 of Las Vegas on DVD. Why? Because while watching Battle Creek, a show that was, sadly, prematurely canned, I fell in love with Josh Duhamel. Hard. Like WHAM! hard. For me, he has always been the best part of Transformers. His Lennox was smart and brave and devoted to both his men and the autobots, too. I wish they had made him the star of the 4th movie instead of going with another bimbo teen again. Oh well...

So, Josh Duhamel and his Danny McCoy on Las Vegas. Danny and his relationship with Big Ed... Big Ed loving him like a son... Yuss!

Just look at him! Isn't he simply perfect? \o/ I hope we will get to see him in some ass kicking role again soon. Or some deeply emotional one. He does emotions so well. You just want to hug him and promise that everything's going to be okay. I mean, good grief, the guy is 6 foot 4 and 43 years old and yet... *happy sigh*

Tour of Duty 103

Dislocations... Or the episode where Myron refuses to follow a direct order. For the very first time. And his men actually start liking him, sight unseen! I just love how he's gaining their trust, slowly, by degrees. Like Zeke told him, trust is something you have to earn. I love that the men were set to hate him on principle, he's white, rich and an officer, after all! But it's harder and harder to do so when he's sticking his neck out for them every day!

I particularly loved this exchange:

Myron: Major Rigby is still steamed as hell.
Zeke: What's the matter? The body count's not high enough to make him happy?
Myron: Oh, come on, man. You know officers don't like getting their orders countermanded.
Sarge: Well, some officers make you forget that.

I'm loving how Zeke is starting to really like his LT, not just as a commanding officer who actually listens, but as a person, someone with whom he can joke about stuff, someone he knows will do the right thing when push comes to shove.
