Point Break Remake

Then Paul Walker died. And, good grief, even today, when I think of it, my heart clenches in my chest and tears well up in my eyes. No Paul Walker, means no Brian O'Conner in future F&F movies. And even though I loved the ending his character got, it was sweet and respectful and full of hope, I think... I think I would've preferred if they re-cast the part, as sacrilegious as it sounds. Because, even though I can't imagine anyone else but Paul Walker ever playing the part of Brian O'Conner, for me, F&F is DOM AND BRIAN. Not Dom and Letty and the crew and stupid, amazing stunts. But Dom and Brian and their incredible friendship. Because they built their little family together and Brian was the only equal Dom had in the group: Dom was the head, Brian was the heart. And without Brian... the whole scale tips in the wrong direction. Now, I wish that they had Brian shot in the face or something and the part re-cast with someone else. Just so I wouldn't lose Brian O'Conner on top of Paul Walker, too.
But that didn't happen and won't happen. And now I hope that the Point Break remake will make up for that with Bodhi and Johnny. That Bodhi doesn't die at the end like he did in the first movie, that they will leave his fate open for a possible sequel should the movie be successful enough to start a franchise - and that the actors will have as amazing chemistry as Paul and Vin did. Because that would be wonderful. I just need this... bromance... in an action movie again. Because you don't see it as often as one would think, these days it's mostly lone wolf heroes or traditional couples - tough guy/sensitive girl. And that's not my cuppa...
