The Czech Academy of Horror, Fantasy and Science Fiction nominated my translation of Patricia Briggs’ “Frost Burned” for Best Translation of 2013! Woohoo!
I don’t expect to win, though. And no, that’s not false modesty. There are works in my category whose authors have been nominated several times in a row already and one of the women is seriously ill, so I think they will give it to her. But I don’t mind, even the nomination makes me very happy :)
