Fast & Furious 4

So, I plan to go and see Fast & Furious 6 with the twins this weekend, so I thought I would watch at least FF4 and FF5 before that...

Man, this whole movie is all about Dom and Brian and their friendship. Sure, it's about avenging Letty and about Brian and Mia becoming an item - but all that's just background noise to Dom and Brian's epic friendship. It's wonderful to actually see it develop throughout the movies. Who would've thought that in a franchise like FF that's so loud and noisy, you would find such excellent character development!

There are so many cool bits. Like when Dom just taps Brian's car in the race for Braga because he doesn't want to see Brian hurt, just out of the race - unlike the other drivers whom Dom literally demolishes! Or when they can't stop poking each other verbally in front of Braga until he makes them admit they know each other. Or when Brian saves Dom's life during the shoot-out with Phoenix. Or when Brian gives Dom his car keys during the bust, you know, just to be sure Dom could escape if need be. Or when Brian comes to Dom and tells him he's going with him to Mexico. Or when Dom keeps the enemy drivers off Brian so that Brian can get Braga over the border. Or when Dom sees Brian all smashed up and bleeding... *_*

And the ending! Still one of my favorite movie endings EVER! The prison bus! The car! Dom's smile! So, SO GOOD!
