Hamill confirmed his earlier comments that George Lucas wanted to know if they were interested, and that the filmmakers have been talking to [him, Ford & Fisher]. Lucas also told Hamill that if they didn’t want to do the sequels, “they wouldn’t cast another actor in our parts; they would write us out.” And on that day, George Lucas finally did something right again. Hamill went on to say, “I can tell you right away that we haven’t signed any contracts. We’re in the stage where they want us to go in and meet with Michael Arndt, who is the writer, and Kathleen Kennedy, who is going to run Lucasfilm.”

“I’m assuming—because I haven’t talked to the writers—that these movies would be about our offspring, like my character would be sort of in the Obi-wan range [as] an influential character. When I found out [while making the original trilogy] that ultimate good news/bad news joke the good news is there’s a real attractive, hot girl in the universe; the bad news is she’s your sister. I thought, ‘Well, I’m going to wind up like Sir Alec [Guinness]. I’m going to be a lonely old hermit living out in some kind of desert igloo with a couple of robots.’”

He seems like such a cool dude! I love his sense of humor, very self-deprecating. And until I read this article, I haven't even realized just how much I wanted Luke back in a very Obi-Wan like role. I could do without Leia and Han, but I really want Luke back. He has always been my favorite.

Also, I'm not sure if Carrie Fisher will even be able to return. She was just hospitalized for basically going nuts during a performance. Looks like she's having some very serious mental issues. Source.

"Just Another Judgement Day (Nightside #9)" by Simon R. Green

Rating: ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣

What a great book! I couldn't wait to see how John Taylor would stop The Walking Man. And I loved that John wasn't all gung-ho, that he wanted to stop the guy without killing him, if possible. I also really liked the developing relationship between John and Suzie, loved seeing their home. But I didn't expect the twist with Walker at the very end, that made me rather sad because I love the guy, he's such an arrogant bastard. But I guess that's where the series was headed since the beginning? Can't wait to get my hands on book #10!

"Daemons Are Forever (Secret Histories #2)" by Simon R. Green

Rating: ♣ ♣

I love the characters so much! Eddie and Molly, Harry and Roger, Callen, the Armorer and even the Matriarch! I really love them and I can't wait to read more about their adventures, I plan to read the whole series ASAP! So, why only two stars?

This book was just way, way too long. And not just the book in general but most of the scenes too so some of the jokes simply fell flat. The book would've been so much better if Green had cut out a good third of it. It felt like the plot was dragging on and on, getting more and more convoluted. And because of that, it got slightly boring after a while. I very much prefer Green's shorter works, those that are around 300 pages top.
