A really sweet movie. I admit that there was one painfully embarrassing scene in the middle, when one of Danny's dates went horribly pear shaped, other than that, though, it was really hilarious. Sure, the women his brother put him together with were way over the top crazy but it fit the tone of the movie.

Chris Pine played a blind man perfectly. I remember Chris Gorham from Covert Affairs talking about how hard it was to play a blind person because you could never focus on your partner during a scene. Such a part must be exhausting. And Chris Pine did a marvelous job. Also, he and Anjali Jay who played Leeza made such a gorgeous couple. I really rooted for them!

I also loved Danny's relationship with his brother, Larry. Sure, Larry was a jerk but there was no doubt that he loved his brother dearly. Like when he protected Danny from the thug who hit him. Larry had no chance against that giant but he still rushed to his brother's defense. And when Danny then landed himself in a hospital, you could see how anxious Larry was. The same went for Danny's best friend Jay - I loved the scene where Danny asked him if he really didn't mind that Danny was blind, that was wonderful.

The most hilarious thing was Jane Seymour's part, though. She played Danny's psychologist, Dr. Evans. I have never seen her in such a hilarious role before. I loved the scene where she started undressing herself during one of Danny's sessions and he just asked, calm as a clam: "Doc, are you naked again? You're a cook, you know that, right?"

Oh, Leeza's boyfriend? Played by Sendhil Ramamurthy!

A very good movie. And very heartwarming. I rather liked that Danny wasn't magically healed or something, that would've been too much. The happy ending between Danny and Leeza was enough :)
