When asked about Benedict Cumberbatch's part, the exec of The Simpsons, Al Jean, said:

Oh my God yes, he’s really funny. He came to a read, and we had a couple of things that he said, “Hey, I could do those. Can I?” [Laughs] This was the first time someone actually just kinda muscled their way into being a guest star. He called us back and he said, “You want me to do anything else?” And we gave him a little more… He’s just this completely irresistible person. You must give him dialogue if you come within 100 yards of him.

LOL! That must have been funny. I just love Benedict, he's so sweet!

There's a really great interview with JGL on IndieWire's web site - link - where he talks about Looper, his directorial debut and other stuff. Like, I didn't know that he was also the executive producer of Looper, not just one of the main stars. Go him!

Loved this bit:

You seem to have really lost yourself inside this guy.

Thank you. I try to create a unique character for every movie, but this one required a really extreme and unique transformation. I studied Bruce's movies. I ripped the audio from his movies and put it on my iPod so I could listen to it on repeat. He even recorded himself doing some of my voiceover monologues, and sent me that so I could listen to it in his voice. And then really the most productive of it was just getting to know him -- hanging out, having dinner, talking.

I hope that, once the movie's out on DVD, there will be some making-off or BTS stuff because JGL seems to have put a lot of work into transforming himself into a young Bruce Willis. I would like to know what Bruce thought about it.

Seven Deadly Clips

A clip show but really great. And it's really funny to see how much Joseph Gordon-Levitt grew between S1 and S3. He was such a squirt in S1 and in S3 he's almost as tall as Harry.

Jailhouse Dick

Dick: Harry, why aren't you studying?
Harry: Oh, don't worry, Dick. Tommy and I will go out later and just buy a book report.
Dick: Good man. Make me proud.

Gosh, the scene where Dick bangs the pans together, going all "DINNER TIME!" - you can see JGL actually LOL'ing! Ha!

Dick on a Roll

Vicki: These two things are called trouble stones, take them. And you put them right on the part of your body that feels tense.
Harry: Ironic that they're blue.

There's an audio commentary! Funny: John Lithgow really had an injured ankle, that's why he's in a wheelchair! And while they were filming the ep, JGL asked them to stop calling him "Joey" and call him "Joe", heh.
