There's a really great interview with JGL on IndieWire's web site - link - where he talks about Looper, his directorial debut and other stuff. Like, I didn't know that he was also the executive producer of Looper, not just one of the main stars. Go him!

Loved this bit:

You seem to have really lost yourself inside this guy.

Thank you. I try to create a unique character for every movie, but this one required a really extreme and unique transformation. I studied Bruce's movies. I ripped the audio from his movies and put it on my iPod so I could listen to it on repeat. He even recorded himself doing some of my voiceover monologues, and sent me that so I could listen to it in his voice. And then really the most productive of it was just getting to know him -- hanging out, having dinner, talking.

I hope that, once the movie's out on DVD, there will be some making-off or BTS stuff because JGL seems to have put a lot of work into transforming himself into a young Bruce Willis. I would like to know what Bruce thought about it.
