When not in character, though, Fassbender and Theron are anything but combative. Their friendship began at the rehearsals for Prometheus last year and grew during filming and throughout the awards season, when both were robbed by the Academy for their work in previous films: Fassbender’s haunting performance in Shame and Theron’s fascinating work in Young Adult were, apparently, too dark and complicated for the Oscars. “I would like to see a romantic comedy between those two characters,” Theron said at our shoot, which took place at an abandoned factory in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Although she was joking, Theron may be on to something—she and Fassbender have a natural chemistry that could make them the next great screen couple. They may not be romantically involved in real life, but they jab, they admire, they spark in ways that could seduce the world.

These two must be a hoot together! It always makes me happy when I read about how well my favorite actors get along. And these two seem to have clicked like whoa! I really would like to see them together in a romantic comedy. I think it's the one genre Michael Fassbender hasn't tried yet!

Michael Fassbender: Sex scenes sound like more fun than they are. Death scenes are easier, really. Maybe because I’ve died so many times. I’ve had a lot of practice. In my movies, I’m often naked or dying.

LOL! I like his sense of humor :P

And now I really want to see Prometheus. I must find out when it will be out on DVD!

Man of Steel

So, the teaser for Man of Steel is out...

Every time I see it, I want to add "And then Clark shot himself in the head with a kryptonite bullet and died. The end." I hope the movie is better than the trailer :-/

Batman Begins

I plan to go and see TDKR this weekend so I thought it was time to, you know, actually see how it all began? :P



My favorite part was when Bruce started making all his gadgets and Alfred hovered in the background, all indulgent. That was the best and funniest bit.

My least favorite part was the beginning. Talk about sloooooooow.

Liam Neeson's role reminded me of his playing Qui-Gon Jin. Weren't they quite similar? I bet all the sword work he had to learn for Star Wars really helped here :P

You know what would be awesome? If Joseph Gordon-Levitt played the boy Batman kept running into throughout the movie. That would be fun. DO NOT TELL ME ANYTHING, though. Spoil me for TDKR and DIE! But that would be so awesome, just sayin'...

You know what's the best part of watching a Chris Nolan movie? Playing the "Spot the Actor" game since he loves to work with the same cast again and again. In BB, it was: Hey, Ken Watanabe! Hey, Cillian Murphy! BTW, speaking of Cillian Murphy, I liked him here much better than in Inception where he played such a crybaby it got on my nerves.

Whom did I like best, though? Jim Gordon! Gary Oldman was surprisingly funny. So far, I've seen him only in very serious roles. But here? When he was driving the Batmobile? LOL! Oh, and isn't it funny that he has been in 3 movies with Tom Hardy already? How awesome is that?

I didn't like Rachel. I didn't like her in TDK and I didn't like her in BB. I admired her dedication but her self-righteousness rubbed me the wrong way. Also, I don't like Katie Holmes OR Maggie Gyllenhaal :(

Verdict? Yeah, Tim Burton's Batman with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson is still my favorite. THAT Gotham was CREEPY!

I hope to see TDK tomorrow. We'll see how it goes...
