So, as you probably know, Matt Bomer will star in the movie adaptation of the Broadway play The Normal Heart next where he will play the AIDS stricken lover of Mark Ruffalo. What really shocked me was this, an excerpt from an interview with Ryan Murphy, the director of The Normal Heart:

You’ve also got a star-studded cast for The Normal Heart, including Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts, Alec Baldwin, Jim Parsons, Matt Bomer...
That is another passion project. I love Larry Kramer’s advocacy and I love him as a person, and I think young people need to see that story. I came of age during AIDS and the terror of that and the sadness and the death and the overwhelming despair. I love the story of these guys coming together and saying okay, the government is not helping us, we need to do something. Larry has been writing the script for several months with me. The other day I wrote him and said, “Were you ever scared? We need to do a scene about that.” But he said, “I was never scared, I was just angry.” So, now there’s a scene about that. It’s a big privilege for me to talk to somebody who I feel is such a great, important historical figure. We’re shooting it in two halves. We’re shooting for four weeks, and then we’ll go down and Matt has to lose like 25 pounds and then we’ll resume.

Sheesh on a pogo stick! Matt Bomer already has no body fat! Have you seen him? And can you imagine him losing 25 more frickin' pounds? He'll be just skin and bones! I mean, I know WHY he has to lose it for the part, but... 25 frickin' pounds! This slight man! Dude! /o\

According to Deadline, Universal's moving ahead with the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel. After so many flops, Universal desperately wants to establish a franchise in the vein of Fast&Furious which is Universal's most profitable merchandise at the moment. Deadline is hopeful that now that Universal will actually have the time to make the movie - with SWATH, they had to compete with Mirror, Mirror so they rushed both the script and the filming and it showed - it'll be a good one.

This makes me very, very happy since I really liked SWATH. But I hope they make the next movie Snow and Huntsman centric - both Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth are contracted for 2 sequels! - because their story is what I'm curious about. In which direction will it be headed? Will he leave? Will he stay? Will she marry William as a more suitable party? Will she marry at all or rule by herself, the way Ravenna did? I'm so invested into these characters, it's ridiculous! *hands*

... AKA Molly Hooper in Sherlock: link. She seems like such a wonderful person. I loved what she said about Benedict Cumberbatch:

He’s heaven. You just want to run your fingers through his hair all the time […] He’s just a really nice, caring good egg, and I’m just so happy for him that he’s become a megastar, it’s brilliant. I think he’s quite surprised by the whole thing, but he’s adapting.

And about The Reichenbach Fall:

Even though I knew what happened at the end, obviously, I cried in the read-through, when they read the last episode, when they read Reichenbach, it was quite embarrassing, I was sat next to Martin, though it wasn’t as embarrassing as watching it on the night itself. Everyone was at Martin Freeman’s house, and Martin was there and his wife was sat at his feet and Amanda [Abbington, Freeman’s wife] was crying and so was I and I tried to laugh it off but that turned into this enormous sob in front of everyone and I just thought, oh brilliant. I just found it terribly moving. Martin is just amazing in that last bit, it’s beautiful, that kind of incomprehension and devastation, it’s fantastic, with his sort of military shuffle at the grave. Fantastic.

Aww... They watched it all together. At Martin Freeman's house. Aww... Just, aww... \o/
