And thus Underworld was watched, featuring...

... Kate Beckinsale as Selene and...

... Scott Speedman as Michael.

What a great movie. Selene kicked major ass and I just loved the romance between her and Michael. They just fit! And I have a "protective!girl kink" mile wide, seriously, and this film pushed all my buttons in that area! And oh my, did Kate Beckinsale look hot in that skin tight outfit or what? Wow *_* And Michael's "other" look - sheesh, that was scary! O_O

Also, Bill Nighy! Michael Sheen! Sophia Myles!

I still have the 2nd and 3rd movie to watch and there will be a 4th one next year, but I don't know if I'll watch it because spoilers! )

So, I have The Losers, Underworld 2&3 and Mr&Mrs Smith plus The Eagle and Ocean's Eleven and its sequels lined up for watching and I wondered, what other action movies do I need to see? I know that you, my friends, have to have some favorites. Recs, please?

"Yami no Matsuei Vol. 8" by Yoko Matsushita

4 stars out of 5

This is the last volume that I own and considering the series is unfinished, I don't think I'll be buying the rest. I decided to stop reading at the point where the anime ended.

I loved this volume. Tsuzuki's craziness and suicidal tendencies, Muraki's obsession, Oriya's friendship... Tatsumi, Hisoka and Watari... Yet, I couldn't give it 5 stars because at the volume's end, nothing actually changed: Muraki was still out there, Tsuzuki was still food obsessed, Hisoka still complained, Tatsumi still raged about expenses... It felt as if everything they had gone through was forgotten.

[livejournal.com profile] ionaonie did it, so I decided to steal borrow and modify it a little...

Five returning TV shows I look forward to:
-- Castle
-- Merlin
-- NCIS
-- NCIS:LA
-- Supernatural

Three shows that don’t return until 2012 that I look forward to:
-- Sherlock
-- White Collar
-- ... I'm drawing blank

One show I actually kind of dread:
-- The Mentalist (please, writers, don't screw it up!)

One show I no longer care about watching:
-- Bones (babies, pregnancies, not my thing...)

One show I’m giving one more chance:
-- House (just for House and Wilson!)

Five new shows I’m curious about:
-- Grimm
-- Once Upon a Time (maybe, depending on its ratings)
-- *blank*
-- *still blank*
-- *spaced out*

My time table:

That's kind of pathetic. I remember watching two, three shows a night. What happened? *scratches head* Oh well, at least I'll have the time to watch old shows like The Man from U.N.C.L.E. or Starsky&Hutch or catch up on new/returning stuff like Fringe, The Glades, Lost Girl or Suits.

The Losers

Hm, The Losers. It was an okay movie, I guess. But I was kinda disappointed. Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character was bland and I was getting slightly annoyed by his gravely voice - and here I thought I would love him in this. Some of the scenes and subplots didn't make any sense and not even the action scenes were all that wow-inducing. The real scene stealer, though, was definitely...

... Chris Evans as Jensen! And not just because...

... Of his amazing body *drools*

It was his energy, his enthusiasm, his stupid jokes. He brightened the whole movie. He wore a pink t-shirt with "Go, Petunias!" on it, he couldn't pick up a girl if his life depended on it - yet he kicked major ass!

And then there was...

... The very pretty and very cool Cougar (Óscar Jaenada).

I think I get why some people ship these two. They were so cool together, Jensen always doing stupid stuff and Cougar having his back/patching him up.

What I didn't like was spoilers! )

To sum it up: Not a bad movie, I've seen worse, but I can understand why it wasn't a hit in the theaters. This had "B-movie" written all over it.

Also, for his performance, Chris Evans deserves his own tag! Oh, and he and Zoe Saldana will be in another movie together, or at least it looks like it, in the sci-fi Luna.
