As you know, I liked the movie Thor better than Captain America - but I'm more interested in the "Captain America" comic books than in "Thor", go figure. I decided to give "Captain America" a try since the latest storyline seems kinda, sorta awesome, Vol. 5 by Ed Brubaker starting with "Winter Soldier". But I need to hurry up because there are only a few pieces available of each of the books on Amazon.

Also, my knowledgeable, lovely geeks, if I wanted to try reading "X-Men", where should I start? I mean, the "X-Men" universe is HUGE. What arc would be interesting and self-contained enough for me to get what's going on? I would like to buy it and read it in paper form because I realized that - just like with scanlations of Japanese manga - I enjoy it much better when I actually hold the book in my hands than when it's a downloaded scan. Downloads are good for sampling.

So far, the best comic book I've read was "Red Robin" where Robin and Ra's Al Ghul are trying to find out what happened to Batman. What's the best comic book you've ever read?
