Day 14: Favorite pairing

I would say Ronon/Jennifer. I didn't really like Jennifer Keller much - okay, not at all - but she fit together with Ronon. Because, let's face it, she was written as a weak woman in need of protection. And fine, why not? There are women like that out there, after all, women who do need a strong man to prop them up. I am all for portraying all kinds of women on shows and that would've been a nice opposite to Teyla, who was a very strong, decisive woman. And Ronon felt a strong need to protect Jennifer because she reminded him of his wife Melena. They would've made a really great pairing and their development could've been a thing of beauty. And as much as I hate shipping on shows, if they HAD to pair up anybody, I would've preferred if they went with Ronon and Jennifer, the way they started it before they switched over to Rodney/Jennifer, a pairing that made no sense at all...

The rest... )

* Castle: Still very much loved.
* Hawaii 5-0: Delegated to DVD. The show's getting better and better but I think I would enjoy it much more in bigger chunks, so I'll just buy it on DVD later on and marathon it.
* NCIS & NCIS:LA: Still love both, the latter now a bit more because of Sam&Callen and Kensi&Deeks.
* Psych: Still haven't seen the last 4 episodes and I can't muster the energy to do so right now. I like Shawn funny, not when he's being an ass.
* The Mentalist: Honestly? I'm getting bored with this show. I have had enough of the painful Van Pelt/Rigsby tension and the way the writers keep splitting up the team and spreading mistrust among the characters.

Can't wait for the return of White Collar (next week!) and Supernatural (the week after that!).

What to watch now? *paws through a pile of DVDs* I think Warehouse 13 S1...

I really love the DVD box, the slipcase makes it looks so 3D!

Pilot: "And now you've got a ferret." LOL. The kettle with the ferrets made me laugh.

The whole warehouse looks very... steam punk. Usually, I don't like steam punk. I think it's ugly, plain and simple. Fortunately, it's not THAT bad here, even though I would've preferred if they used more... modern machines. Also, Artie's search for the painting... That was a bit too quirky, too over the top. I hope they tone it down in future episodes.

I really like Pete and Myka. And Leena. I'm especially curious about Pete's talent, about these hunches he gets. I hope it's explored further. And I wonder what Leena meant when she said that Pete was "in tune". Also, it didn't seem like Pete wanted out of the warehouse duty, not really. I think that Frederic made him realize that he really didn't have anything... Myka on the other hand, man, she really couldn't get out soon enough. But I was glad she decided to stay when her boss told her that only she could get out, that Pete had to stay, no matter what.

Definitely looking forward to more eps.
