Leonard knows exactly what Jimmy’s asking. “Twenty-one.”

Jimmy opens his mouth. Leonard has absolutely no doubt that it’s to argue.

He shakes his head. “No. No arguments on this one. You wait until you graduate from college. You date and…”

“I’ve already dated, Len. Hell, I dated the Bartlett triplets and their older brother and…”

“…you’ll enjoy the whole college experience and once you graduate, then we’ll see.”

I want to smish them both silly. It's such a sweet fic \o/

Fic rec: Star Trek Reboot

"I'll Make it to the Moon if I Have to Crawl" by 1297 | Kirk/McCoy, Spock/Uhura | Starfleet isn't for men like Leonard McCoy. There are too many straight lines to cut himself on, too many rules, too many round holes to force his square-self through. | 6.000 words

They're dancing, he realizes, swaying to a song that isn't actually playing. And this doesn't make sense, he knows, yet somehow it does. "I'm not trying to fix you, you know?" he says, fingers pressing into her back.

And she smiles. "I know. I'm not broken."

I love 1297's Uhura. So much that I created a new tag on Delicious, just for this fic: cool!uhura. And not only Uhura is fantastic, the relationship between Jim and Bones is quite the thing to behold too. Even though the story is mostly about the friendship between Bones and Uhura, those tiny scenes between Jim and Bones are heart-warming - like them touching noses instead of kissing. Love it!
