The ep was called The Man That Got Away and Robert Culp was guest starring - which reminds me that I still need to watch I Spy on DVD! But I digress. I loved it when McCabe called Derek his "undernourished assistant" XD And when Derek realized that the man wasn't wheelchair-bound and made him confess! Ha! It's really great to watch how Derek grows throughout the series from a bumbling newbie into a great district attorney. And Jake! The scene where he tried to prove that the killer could have got back to his office in 15 minutes! And Derek and McCabe timed it!

Uhm, yes, I'm still enjoying JatF! Yay! \o/

Synopsis... )

Review: First in the Remy Chandler series. For once no vampires or werewolves but angels. And I quite like Sniegoski's version which reminds me very much of how angels are portrayed on Supernatural - they are warriors first and foremost and there are the good angels and then there are the dicks. I freely admit that I would have preferred if the story was more fleshed out, if it went into deeper detail but I really liked the characters: Remy, Francis, Marlowe the Dog etc. Inspired by Raymond Chandler's novels, it reads more like a detective story with a big showdown - the showdown itself takes almost 1/4 of the book after all - than your usual urban fantasies. But I liked it a lot and I'll be definitely reading the second book in the series!
