You remember me rambling about how I buy too many books and how I will try to behave for a while? Erm... It sorta kinda didn't work out.
Today, I bought:
Charlaine Harris' "Dead Until Dark"
Peter David's "Star Trek: TNG: A Rock and a Hard Place"
Diane Duane's "Star Trek: TOS: Doctor's Orders"
But it was totally not my fault. You see, I went to my boss' shop to give back the original of Tom Lloyd's "The Twilight Herald" and first I noticed Harris' book published in Czech - I wanted to buy it anyway! - and then I realized that my boss' shop would certainly have some ST books, being a fantasy/sci-fi shop and all. And then I found out that he had one last copy of Duane's "Doctor's Orders"! That books is sold out on Amazon! And when I asked where I could find the book, my boss said "up there, somewhere" - and pointed at one of the top-most shelves where Star Trek and Star Wars books must have been battling dust bunnies for dominance since the dark ages! And since I was already playing the tree monkey, climbing up there to find Duane's book, I actually cleaned that shelf and ordered his books up there too - to his uttermost glee, of course!
And then he saddled me up with the re-translation of Salvatore's "Crystal Shard" and with the reviewing of P. C. Hodgell's "The God Stalker Chronicles" - just by the way, of course! *head/desk*
