Back to work today. It's good that I work at home because it's very cold and snowing outside *shudders* Oh well. It'll be hard to get back to working hard every day after having 14 days off *sigh* And the first book of this year is: Barb and J.C. Hendee's "Child of a Dead God", the 6th book in their 1st "Noble Dead" series. 400 pages *head/desk* Well, it could have been another Douglass and her 650+ pages books.

On the fannish front, I'm still reading Martha Wells' "Entanglement", a SGA tie-in novel and I must say that so far, this is probably my favorite of the SGA books. I really like the plot and it seems much more balanced than Wells' other SGA novel "Reliquary". We will see how it ends.

Also, last night, I watched Psych, the audio commentaries to episodes 201 and 202. These are much better than the S1's, everybody seems to be having fun, they don't sound as bored as on the S1 discs. I love them talking about, for example, why Corbin Bernsen was sitting in a purple chair in front of purple curtains next to a purple picture and in a purple shirt - nobody knew who came up with that! XD So funny :)

* Sally Malcolm's SG-1 audiobook "Gift of the Gods" arrived! It's read by Michael Shanks 8)
* I really don't like the Hendee's portrayal of vampirism. It's icky - and boring.
* I still don't get everybody's obsession with Merlin *yawn*
* Next to the last episode of SGA tonight! Tomorrow for me! I feel like crying :'(

Wow! The best SGA tie-in novel so far! It shows Martha Wells' growth as an author - this book is much more balanced than her "Reliquary" - and it proves that she's one of the best, if not the best SGA author out there. Her grasp of the characters is amazing and her stories are always about the team working together, being all team-y! I loved the banter between John and Rodney in this book, Teyla's wise assessment, Ronon's protectiveness, Lorne's leadership qualities and Carson's deep care for his friends. Zelenka and Kusanagi were an added bonus. And the story itself was amazing too. The book turned out to be a real page-turner for me. Simply awesome! This is what the show should be like *nods*
