* According to the news, 75% of the Czech population support gay people and their registered partnerships. 15 years ago, it was only 10%, now it's 3/4 of the population. I feel proud of being Czech :)

* I spent the evening chatting with [livejournal.com profile] saidrifter! I finally caught her online and I wouldn't let go *grabby hands* I had a blast. Wonderful *vbg*

* The Czech network Prima is airing Psych these days. Would you believe that they labeled the show "not suitable for anyone under 18" and they air it at 11.30 p-frickin'-m?! I mean, Psych? Really? *head/desk*

* Yesterday, I bought some books for my mum! Iris Johansen's "The Ugly Duckling" and Katherine Stone's "Happy Endings" and "Imagine Love". They had them for 4 bucks each. I hope that she'll like them :)

* And while I was trying to pull [livejournal.com profile] saidrifter into the Due South fandom - not that she was protesting much, mind you ;P - I discovered this vid recap of dS' series finale. Spoilers for the finale of course. Awesome vid! The author warns that it's slashy but all she did was recap the last two episodes with music. She didn't alter the scenes or anything. Yes, the ending really was that slashy :)

Oh my, SGA's Common Ground is one of the best eps ever. I mean, it has a lot of John!whump, it has a strong plot and amazing guest stars... What else could one want?

Things that I especially loved:
- The chemistry between Todd the Wraith and Sheppard, like really. Chris Heyerdahl never had this chemistry with Joe Flanigan when he played in S1 Halling. Here it worked perfectly though!
- I loved Ronon's anger due to Sheppard's torture. I mean, we know that he considers John a good leader and a good friend too, but here we could see how deep is his relationship with Sheppard first hand.
- The leather outfits! Call me shallow, but Sheppard black leather jacket? Ronon's brown leather coat? They make me swoon like whoa!
- The discovery of what the Wraith can actually do! That was so surprising and so intriguing. I loved it!

I also loved the commentary by the episode's director and the director of photography. They said that Joe and Chris had a blast with this episode and especially with the scenes in the prison cells. Also, that Jason Momoa had a torn muscle in his abdomen during the filming of that episode - the scene in the woods where Jason winces while kneeling down? Yup, he really was in pain at that moment. And Ryan Robbins who played Laden Radim had a food poisoning while they were filming the last scene with him sending the analog feed through the stargate, the poor thing. And btw, Radim is a Czech name, a first name I mean, like Radek is for Zelenka :)

Awesome, awesome ep! McKay and Mrs. Miller next!
