Amused...

I'm having one of those pro vs. contra Bela discussions on one of the SPN forums with an avid fan of hers. Oh my, it feels so good to stay calm and collected in such a discussion and beat the opposition with facts! Ha!

I might re-read Timothy Zahn's Star Wars "Thrawn Trilogy" once more soon. After reading more than one book in the SW universe, I'm still convinced that this trilogy of Zahn's is the best one around!

I spent last night drabbling and reading Smallville fics. Lazy! :)

As unbelievable as it might be, I think I found a Smallville fic that would rank up there on the first places of my SV hitparade together with "Somewhere I Have Never Traveled by seperis aka Jenn and "Conflicts of Interest" by rageprufrock aka Pru...

"Interstitial" by runpunkrun aka Punk. It's a future fic featuring the Clex. Clark is loosing his powers and Lex is worried and somehow, that's enough to overcome the rift between them. It's funny and it's touching and you can fairly feel how weary and drained Clark is in that story until Lex shows up again and turns Clark's life upside down.

My favorite lines?
Clark and Lex on sushi:
"I might as well be eating those fish out in the pond."
"Well, there's still a difference between raw fish and live fish, Clark."

and

(Lex) squints at something red near the shrimp heads, "and I don't know what that is."
Clark squints at it too. "Really?"
"It could be a clam." Lex sounds dubious.
"Or?"
"Or," Lex decides, "it could not be a clam. We'll eat around it."

There are many many more and the story is all kinds of awesome and I feel giddy just thinking about it!
