-> Chuck still rocks my socks!

-> I hate it that fans living abroad can't access some networks' forums etc. I mean, they do realize that people in, I don't know, Great Britain watch their TV shows too, right?

-> It's sad that whenever you ask for recs in a community, folks rec you the same three point five stories over and over again. It feels like nobody is even reading new fics.

... you just feel like kicking your boss, no matter how much you like him. I usually don't talk about RL related things here but this riled me pretty bad.

Most of you know that I work as a translator, translating fantasy books from English into Czech. In September and October, I was working on Dragons of a Fallen Sun by Hickman and Weis. In the meantime, I interpreted for R. Knaak in Brno and I went to the Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany, with my boss. I had the Dragons book almost finished when my boss called me saying that he needed me to translate a novel really quick because the previous translation by someone else was unusable. I said okay but I warned him that it would set me back in my own translation approximately a week - no matter what he thinks, I can't work 7 days a week without my brain imploding and the novel was almost 100 pages long. But even though my boss knew all that, he started asking when the Dragons book would be done. So I gritted my teeth and worked twice as hard to get it done two days earlier. And I sent it to my first editor...

Who said he didn't have the time to work on it at the moment even though he knew how important it was! I thought that I would strangle the idiot! So, the editor finally got to it last night and my boss is pushing him really hard now because he needs the book Friday morning - 560 pages! And what does that mean for me? The first editor will read the book, make a list of changes I need to make - in names, titles, place etc. because these are given by the Czech RPG players - and I will have to correct 33 chapters within an hour or so. Have you ever tried to edit something this huge in such a short time? Even ctrl+f-ing takes some time! *izdead* And my second editor still didn't get back to me about the poem I asked him to put into verses for me for this book.

WhatEVER! *throws arms in the air*

TV Guide's interview with Angie Harmon

My favorite part: And despite the usual rumors of catfights on a set full of women, "superĀ-fun" seems to be the operative phrase for life on the Murder scene. "We've had a blast so far," confirms Rob Estes, who plays Lindsay's ex-husband and current boss, Lt. Tom Hogan. "I call Angie the atomic energy source because she never stops. One day she had made a sign that said, 'Sorry I made y'all wait, I was late.' I wore that sign almost the whole day!" Says Harmon, "Rob and I just so enjoy publicly humiliating each other. He's like the brother I never had."

TV Guide's interview with Michael Weatherly

My favorite part: The less I say the better, and don't date your costar! So Mark Harmon and I have never dated. Though the Silver Fox and I did spend a week in Vermont that nobody knows about.
