Bowling yesterday! The first time for me :D Much fun was had and I even won one round. Beginner's luck, I guess. But I could become really good at it. I think. I got back home around 11.15 PM. Hit the pillow shortly after that.

I see that a lot of people love Brokeback Mountain - hearts and flowers popping all around, that kind of love. Me? I haven't seen this movie and I have no intention to watch it. Why?

a) Because of Jake Gyllenhaal. He is a self-righteous, arrogant jerk whose brain and mouth don't have a good relationship. I always have to wonder, why actors who go all "eww, gay" take such parts. If I have to read one more freaking article about how he and Ledger were oh so uncomfortable playing gay and how they are really really really het, I'll start screaming. Paint me weird but when I don't like an actor, I can't force myself to watch his movies. Never ever.

b) I tried to read Annie Proulx's short story that inspired this movie. Sorry, but something that starts with a man scratching his balls and peeing into the kitchen sink is really not my cup of tea *gags*

This stuff put me off so much that I can't even take a look at the posters without raised hackles. Yeah, yeah, I'm shallow for not appreciating this great art X(

Broadway Damage is just a little quirky funny low-budget comedy about two gays guys searching for love and one girl trying to avoid nervous breakdown. You won't roll on the floor laughing while watching this movie but it will definitely give you warm fuzzies.

Marc, Robert and Cythia are friends. Marc and Cythia just moved in together into this run-down apartment that they share with rodents and cockroaches. Marc and Robert are young would-be actors... but they are so bad that Marc works for telemarketing and Robert is contemplating a new carrier as a composer of musicals. And Cynthia is a corpulent spoiled girl who is trying to prove her Bush-fannish daddy that she can survive the in real world and she is read to do anything to win the job of her dreams. Oh, and Marc and Robert are gays too.

Unfortunately, Marc and Robert are only best friends, not lovers even though they are both on the correct side of the tracks. The puppy-ish Robert is totally smitten with the Danger!Boy Marc who has more potential love-interests than he has fingers on both hands. Until he falls in love with David who is... well... a trouble-maker. But rest assured, this movie has a happy-end for Marc and Robert in store.

What I loved best about it? The characters calling each other "lambchop" :D It was so funny.

And of course: Picspam )

I took the pictures from the end of the movie because Marc and Robert are so cute when they are together! :D
