I really hate it when people talk about coming over, mention it every time you talk to them and then cancel it at the very last moment when you already have everything planned out and prepared for them. And I especially hate it when they make my mum sad! Argh!

Sep. 23rd, 2005 01:52 amThere are series that I simply can't get into. For example? Lost. Blah :P Booooooring, so boring. I see a lot of people raving about that Charlie character. Well, I really disliked the actor in LotR (well, I hated all the hobbits, Frodo included) and here he is even more boring (I didn't think such thing was even possible). The other series I really hate is Desperate Housewives. I think it shows the shallowness of life of an average American family. All smiles on the outside, on the inside the desire to kill each other. And the awful houses, one like the other *shudders* It's like living in a rabbit-hutch - you could subsitute one for the other and no one would notice *shudders again* I could never live like that. For me, the series is not funny, it's sad and it's sad that some people are content to live such an empty life :(
On the other hand there are series that I really love - like Bones (the UST between Bones and Booth is great and you can feel that they really care about each other, even though they argue all the time), Supernatural (I'm warming up to Jared Padalecki here but no one can top Jensen Ackles), Gilmore Girls (Lorelai and Luke are THE pairing) or Numb3rs (although here, some of the scripts can be rather... boring in places :/ - can we say Sacrifice?)
And then there are the series I like but not love. Like Stargate SG-1 - I mean, after 8 years they really can't come up with anything original, can they? I loved the Prototype ep, but the 9x10 one, I don't even remember the title, was so boring. Politics, politics and more politics. Thank you very much. I wouldn't mind that much if they canceled the series after this season :/ And then there is Stargate: Atlantis - can we say Zelenka? *g* It's great to see a Czech character in an US series. And Smallville - it would be such a great show... without the cow-eyed Lana, the Miss Perfect. Thank you, fanfics are enough.
I mustn't forget Battlestar Galactica because this one is kinda... unclassified. I love it for the Lee/Kara interaction but I really could go without the doctor and his freaky blondie :(
And there are series I want to try too - like Surface or Threshold... I already downloaded the pilot of the first one... so, we will see...
