Ordered Doctor Who S1

katikatI ordered Doctor Who S1 on DVD, the rebooted S1, of course. Back then, I tried to watch a couple of episodes and I simply didn't get into it. Not even Cpt. Jack could save it for me. But watching S5 - yes, Matt Smith is MY Doctor! - I feel like I'm... missing out. Rose and Cpt. Jack are such a huge part of the fandom... I mean, I know that there's 50 years (!!!) of storytelling that I'm missing but I don't have the ambition to catch up on all of that, that way lays madness!
Unfortunately, I really don't like Christopher Eccleston. His ego just doesn't match his acting career or his acting skills. Just look up the 50th anniversary fiasco. Fortunately, he's there for 1 season only, lucky me! And then there's 10 and everybody seems to love 10, so... I ordered the box set used - I want to see it but I didn't want to pay the regular price! - so it will cost me Ł10.31 incl. shipping. Not bad!
