I'm done with S1, the DVD box set, I mean. Wonderful stuff, all the audio commentaries and BTS extras. My favorite was "The Making Of" featurette and especially the part about the casting of Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour; especially Eric's audition was rather... complicated, LOL! I also love that Lucas Bryant is apparently the polar opposite of Nathan, he's quirky, goofy and hilarious, according to the cast and crew. Lovely.
Season 1 was a bit... lame compared to how awesome S2 and especially S3 turned out to be. But my favorite parts - besides Duke's awesome spiky hair! - was:
a) the friendship between Nathan and Audrey; I just adore how she watches over him and makes sure that the stuff he touches/eats isn't too hot, considering his inability to feel anything.
b) the relationship between Nathan and Duke; Duke's a funny guy, a little selfish and always pragmatic, but I adore how he keeps trying to win Nathan's friendship back. And it's especially great in the light of the last scene in S3, or actually, most of S3. When you see Duke in S1 and then watch his reaction to Nathan's death in S3... Awesome character development.
So yeah, the DVD box set is definitely worth buying, if you like the show. So many extras!
