That looks so, so good!

Though I don't like the fact that they turned the ST:TOS trio which was Kirk-Spock-Bones into Kirk-Spock-Uhura. I just don't like new!Uhura that much (or wannabe love-triangles). I mean, sleeping with your professor? Really? Spock/Uhura is hot, I just don't like the genesis of their relationship. And since Bones has always been my favorite character... to see him replaced with Uhura... Eh.

Well, I'm still looking forward to it because it really does look fantastic! And new!Kirk is rockin' awesome, I like him so much better than old!Kirk - it's all about their acting skills, Chris Pine is a much better actor than William Shatner. And Benedict Cumberbatch... wow, just wow!

Oh, speaking of Benedict, this is what he said about his character:

"I did a lot of close combat training. He's a kick-ass warrior, as masterful with his hands and body as he is with weapons...You will have a great discovery during this film, which I think is great...[My costumes] look great. Some of them were (no pun intended) cumbersome and heavy, but some were very snug; you can almost see what religion I am..."

He is an awesome single-handed weapon of mass destruction but also a master mind-player and manipulator who plays with their roles and loyalties and understanding of what's right and wrong. Awesome! I think his character is what I'm most looking forward to. It's amazing that they have managed to keep his real identity secret so far! Though it's a bummer that the movie won't be out here, in the Czech Republic, till mid-June *grumbles*

Oh, and it looks like Star Trek 3 could be set for 2016 when the whole ST franchise will celebrate its 50th anniversary! Source.
