The Cabin in the Woods

What a crazy movie. So much blood and horror that I couldn't but LOL at it. Joss Whedon went all out here, so over the top... nuts, really nuts. I loved the characters, loved them so much. I loved that they defied stereotypes, especially Curt (Chris Hemsworth) who should've been just a cliché dumb meathead - instead he was smart and funny and lovable. All of them, they were so much fun together. I would've loved to spend more time in their company. The character driven moments were my favorites, like the one between Curt and Dana, where he told her "You should read this and... this... and... uhm, you have no pants." Chris Hemsworth's delivery in that scene was flawless!
The special effects were breathtaking! And there were so many famous "Whedon actors" there, it was like playing "spot the actor" XD
Seriously, folks - if you decide to see the movie, don't go looking for spoilers. Joss Whedon recommended it and I wholeheartedly agree because figuring out what was going on was part of the fun. A bloody comedy/parody/horror that's not to be taken seriously (yet it tugs at your heart in the very personal moments).
