Star Trek, new tidbits

katikatNew photo was revealed - link - together with the name of Benedict's character, which, IMHO, is yet another misdirection :P Said picture also explains the ending of the Japanese trailer - and I think it'll make the Kirk/Spock fans out there mad like hell. Also, the identity of Alice Eve's character was revealed: link.
Since I've never been a Kirk/Spock fan, I wouldn't mind if the mind-blend thingy happened between Benedict's character and Spock instead of Spock and Kirk. It would be an interesting twist, IMHO.
And Alice Eve is playing Carol Marcus with whom Kirk had a child in TOS. I think there will be a twist. I don't think they will go the same way here like they did in TOS. I think she will die in the movie. I mean, they made Spock and Uhura a thing, there's no sight of Bones' daughter... I don't think they went with the known here either.
