Once more I have to ask, what people didn't get about the film. Reviewers insist that the movie is confusing, that it doesn't give you any answers, that it just opens many questions etc. and so on. I... don't get what people don't get? To me, the movie felt quite straightforward and easy to follow *head-tilt*

Overall, I liked it. Not as exciting as Aliens, but much better than Alien 3 & 4 - let's not even talk about those messes *cringes* What really made the movie for me was the character of David, played by Michael Fassbender. He was simply incredible. Hands down the best performance in the whole movie. I wasn't sure if he was or wasn't a bad guy, even at the very end. Strange.

Another thing I adored was the core crew of the Prometheus: Cpt. Janek, Chance and Ravel. They were really, really awesome. I admired their courage and their easy camaraderie. And was I the only one who felt slashy vibes between Chance and Ravel? I loved their banter and the smile they gave each other before the crash. In my head canon, they were an item *nods*

The special effects were all kinds of amazing. Wow, just wow! The ships, the star map that David entered... Wonderful! The movie is worth seeing just because of that.

Two things I didn't like: the score and Guy Pierce as Weyland. The music was really bland. Maybe because I usually listen to Last.fm's OST channel and I keep hearing Hans Zimmer's (Pirates of the Carribean, The Dark Knight Rises) and Hugh Jackman's (X-Men: First Class) amazing scores, this one felt so very, very bland in comparison. And what was the use of Guy Pierce as Weyland? Couldn't they simply gotten an old guy to play him? :-/

The ending was interesting - the bit with David and Elizabeth, not the weird alien thing - and I'm curious where Scott will take the story next.
