Dean’s going to find himself “indebted” to one of those purgatory badasses the EPs teased during the show’s Comic-Con panel. “There’s going to be a character [introduced in Episode 1] that gets Dean out,” reveals Jensen Ackles. “It’s like, ‘I need you and you need me.’ And of course, he’s not a good guy. That character stands to pose a bit of an issue for Dean because maybe there are things that Dean has hidden that he doesn’t want to tell Sam that happened in purgatory.” Bonus scoop: Rumor has it the evildoer in question sports fangs. I don't even mind that it sounds like a re-tread of what happened to Dean in hell with Alastair. I don't even mind that Dean will be keeping secrets from Sam - actually, at this point I'm ALL FOR IT, I'm all for Dean going his own way and not just going back to Sam and spilling beans about everything. I'm simply happy that Dean will finally have a storyline of his own again! Something intriguing.

And Dean's... "helper" was already cast: source. His name will be Benny and he'll be a dark and dangerous vampire. Hopefully, he'll get in Dean's face too like all the other big bads like to do!
