The Avengers!
And I'm sitting here, grinning like a fool. What an awesome movie! How did Joss Whedon manage to squeeze so much into 140 min.?! It felt much longer. Like several movies, not just one! It was so full of action and character moments and Tony/Pepper was so sweet and I ship Hawkeye/Black Widow so hard right now! And Hulk! For the first time ever I adore Hulk! *runs in circles*
-- Tony and Pepper! Only two scenes but they conveyed their love perfectly. I adore them. The way she teased him! Aww... And Tony! Every time he opened his mouth he pissed off somebody!
-- Hawkeye and Black Widow. Sure, Natasha kept insisting that it was just a debt she wanted to pay back but they were so incredibly awesome together. It rubbed my protective!girl kink so hard!
-- Thor and Loki. I wonder if Thor will ever get through to Loki. For him it doesn't matter that they are not flesh and blood, Loki is his brother! By the end of the movie, Thor seemed kinda disillusioned with Loki, the poor thing :(
-- Hulk was awesome! So funny! His brawl with Thor was epic and the punch he delivered later in NY had the whole theater in stitches! And when Bruce left together with Tony! Fantastic!
-- Captain America was pretty bland compared to the others. I mean, I understood why, he was disillusioned with the world in general, he was alone...
-- I didn't mind Coulson dying. It was a touching scene but I didn't mind.
-- And the battles! The special effects! FANTASTIC!
Fics I would now love to read:
-- Natasha and Clint, I want them to become an ass kicking couple so much! I would love to read a fic about them and I don't usually read het! They're so awesome!
-- Something about the stab wound Thor received from Loki. I would love to read some h/c about that, set in Asgard.
-- Tony and Bruce bantering and being all nerdy and geeky and awesome!
Amazing movie! And according to deadline.com, it made $80 mil. on Friday and it's on pace to make a record breaking $175 mil. over the weekend, $500 mil. worldwide! This makes me ecstatic because it means more Marvel superhero movies! I would even go and see Mark Ruffalo's Hulk - and I never LIKED Hulk! - so I'm happy that Mark signed a 6 movie contract with Marvel.
My rating? 10/10! Definitely!
